Got 3 point for doing a wheelie after the wirral egg run by a jobsworth bike copper. simple enough Driver not in proper control :/ 3 points £60

Anyway now the problems have started. Im still waiting for my licence to come back and my car insurance is due tonight. hes given me an offence code of 0452 Driver not in proper control. There is no 0452 on the insurance sites under convitions or anything that says driver not in proper control so what do i put it as ?? ive searched all over the net for the code but it doesnt seem to exist as far as i can see and the woman on the phone was useless and gave me another wrong number.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on what its classed as.

Thinking "you didn't have the code" didn't disclose Laughing

How much would it bump your premium?

MS60 is the one, applies to the fact you could not steer the bike in the conventional manner, hence not in proper control. There is no specific code, it didnt really affect my insurance renewal, even cheaper than last year infact!! Thumbs Up

It's likely RTA 1988 40D "driving a motor vehicle in a position which does not give proper control", but I agree that there's no specific offence code for it.

Put down MS60, it's the most likely one. You can always correct it later if you feel the urge.

And next time, don't just plead guilty, eh? The burden is on them to convict.

Why put yourself and others in danger doing wheelies on public roads? Save it for private roads.

Why do you orgasm at the thought of a Virago.

About as pointless as your post.

Wheelies on the road are fine. Cruisers are not.

Meh, I got 3 points for speeding, but I see no issue with people doing 100mph on the motorway, far safer than it was when they brought in the speed limits.

You jelly cos you cant wheelie or speed to get 3 points?

Have you not been on the forum long enough to realise people who wheelie ect don't give a fuck about safety posts. End of the day if any of us smash our bikes up its self inflicted and our own fault. Doesn't effect your life or stop you sleeping at night.

Its not the speed, its the sudden stop Wink.
Once one particular officer I spoke to said if a car overtook him on the motorway at 90 odd, safely, he wouldn't chase, but 100+ then thats somewhat taking the piss Laughing .
All depends on the copper

How much does a private road cost?

I'm into buying one from Heinz Geriatric (or someplace) or can you just knock something up in your backyard?

The only codes a law-breaker/Braker needs to know is:

1 Don't get freakin' caught.
2 Don't admit you did it.

It could one day if im driving and some douchebag loses control of his bike when doing a wheelie and ploughs into my bonnet. Im left with a write off and a corpse on my car.
Just think respect should be there for other road users is all.

Haters gonna hate

Then he was bad at riding.

Most people who wheelie are considerate and do it when its quiet. BUT some don't. Its all based on how good you are with them. I'm terrible so wait till road is atleast slightly empty before doing them. Laughing

My wheelie offence comes up as CD10. Or just look at your counterpart?

not got my licence back yet and the codes wrong on the sheet Sad

EazyDuz do yourself a favor and stop jumping to conclusions of how things happened.
A brief description just for you.

Wheelie was done on an empty using my vstrom on a well known industrial estate which everyone knows as the wheelie road near the tap. It was a side by side wheelie with another rider bar ends probably about 6" apart from each other speed around 15mph bike was in full control no kittens were at risk nor pedestrians cattle or any other living thing other than the flies in the air ( i cant save everything) So short of somebody teleporting in front of me magically there was zero chance of any innocent victim getting hurt.
Coppers sat up the road on the roundabout seen us waited for us to stop then proceeded down said road to have a word and rate us on our skill using the uk points scheme.
One of them even commented on how good it actually looked Laughing other one was a twat.

Sorry mate, you mention 'kittens' in a 'wheelie-ing stunt' thread so the points are well deserved.

You would have got away with puppies or even baby hamsters.

@cyberglass.....

I know that road. I hate that fkin that round about.
You wanna be going fast enough/still up on one while going past the crowd but need to brake in time to not land in the roundabout.

Twisted Evil

Where you there last year when that twat on the scooter jumped off the path without looking and that riding a CBR on a speed run? (i think) met up and became the bested of friends in the world?

its not to bad when coming from the roundabout side as its a good 1 mile run past the crowd. about coppers crept in and sat there watching just as we went away lol. mote to self check mirrors before throwing her up in future Smile
