I just want to ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride and ride.
I'd ride all day but I can't afford the fuel. I'm putting £7 a day in my 50cc NRG and I'm riding about 3 hours a day but I want to ride more but I just can't afford it. I'm starting my new job in 4 days so maybe then I can afford but I'll be working all the time so I won't have time then... life sucks. |

£7 a DAY in an NRG and you can only ride it for 3 hours?!!!!!
Get it serviced & looked at boy! Or get it traded in for something that doesn't drink petrol like a dry thing in a dry place!
My 250 does nearly 120 miles on £7, depending on speed, and your NRG should do at least half as much again, say 180 miles at 30 mph (as it's a 50cc) you should be out for at least 6 hours......
(My H100 used to do about 150 miles on a £5 too!) ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

And I'm about as poor as you are |

I managed 250miles on an Aprilia Rs50 (Wigan to Donington Park, and then back again) on about £9's worth of petrol - that probably ended up being around 6hours of riding in total and for the majority of that it was on A roads with National Speed Limit (NSL) of 60mph so as you can imagine on the little 50cc, it'd be flat out all the way great fun it was, one of the best rides I've had on a bike to date (and that was 3years ago!).
So I'd imagine an NRG should have similar mpg (and probably better) than an Rs50's so unless your calculations are wrong it sounds like your bike's leaking petrol somewhere - float in the carb maybe, or just a hole in the fuel line? ____________________ My Bike pics - https://www.bikepics.com/members/cagivamito2001

Thats nothing,I live in Canada,I'm probably three weeks away from winter storage and no ride at all.
I,m on my way to Pt Dover,Ishould get about three hours in.
Pt Dover has a website www. pd13.com or ca I can't remember wich ,you guys should check it out.
Our feul is about 0.91$ a litre for hightest,I'm not sure of the exchange but I have heard your cost is 4 times higher.
My ride is a Honda 750 ace, most of my friends ride harleys,my bike is usually the smallest in the group.
Not much time left,I better get going . |

Smedly, us Brits pay extortionate rates for fuel and it isn't fair. Whereas our "friends" over the pond use more fuel, have big engines and have really cheap fuel. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. I fill my bike up once a week (£8) and I am out on it every night !
I must say....although I am bored of my CG, the fuel consumption is mighty fine ____________________ Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow" |

I've been told by my step-dad to put in a certain amount of fuel and then see how many KM I can do before I have to refuel. This way I can compare better with you lot.

As CraigZZR says, the GPZ500s sips fuel. Mine does the 120miles to Edinburgh on 11 quids worth, and that is on the A7 where I do not hang about.
Sitting at a steady 80mph, I used to be able to get from Edinburgh to my folks house (about 200 miles) on a tankful (4 gallons). Petrol was cheaper then and I used to keep an emergency tenner hidden which I knew would buy me enough fuel to get home.
All depends on the state of tune of your engine though, my 350 powervalve used to use more than twice as much and the best part of a bottle of synthetic 2-stroke too boot. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
