Yeah your gear looks very clean, and your bike looks really good.
I particularity like the bar end mirrors that you have as they complement the lines of the bike but lets not draw attention to the fact they stop you from filtering past anything with wing mirrors.

The way you were slamming on, riding the back brake, refusing to get out of the way of other riders who you were holding up, looking in every direction imaginable apart from straight ahead, are all really great skills to have.

I loved the way you pinned it from the lights only to stop just past the yellow box as there was a transit van and a car stopping you from showing off your epic filtering skills again.

I highly suspect atleast one of the following applies to you:-

1st day back on your bike since September when you put it away for the winter.
New rider, passed a couple of days ago by the skin of your teeth.
Determined to prove to a little zxr400 that "I am a BIKER!"

Seriously, pack that shit in.
You are a danger to yourself and other road users, including the artic you decided to cut up. I saw what you did, I saw the smoke from the artics wheels, I smelt the burning rubber.
I was behind that artic, not overtaking it as I knew the road was busy. But Oh No! you have the power between your legs you can get in that gap.

You are a hero!
Dont get excited just yet, you are a straight line hero.

There was a guy on a yellow/black blade who was watching how fkin sketch you were, he stayed waaaaay back from you. He was smart to do so.

I've seen chavs on scooters wearing trackies who's riding skills put yours to shame.

/rant

p.s. Your reg plate is being held on by a bit of garden wire?
Yeah, great thing for a straight line, top speed, fastest cunt in the world hero to do.
It's not like its going to flying off at speed and slice into someone......

When I went over to France with the wife on the back of my old 2002 ZX636 I was fully loaded up luggage wise, panniers top box, tank bag - the works.

As I got through a little village and hit some nice twisties I caught sight of a yellow speed triple with solo rider and thought 'cool, some frog to play with' so off I pop to catch him up. I get up to him, he sees me in the mirror and opens up a bit before hitting a few cars and slowing down so I did the polite thing and blatted past him and the cars in a smooth, calm, controlled way.

I look in the mirror and he was caning it keeping up but looked really erratic, I just carried on doing the one car hop, pull in, next bend, hop another and he just kept going backwards Smile

That was my first and only real experience of a french biker, playing out on the roads Very Happy Not a good one either. Some folks just dont seem be confident or comfortable filtering

one of the things i love about riding, is doing this - nothing beats the feeling of dispatching car after car with a squirt of thottle.

One of my favourite joys too. I think doing one at a time is more fun than blatting past all 10 in a row

It made a difference to me just yesterday when some idiot on a Fazer came blasting past me on the LHS of a single lane, on a greasy road, in the rain... revving the throttle, but unable to filter when the rest of the traffic slowed down...

However I had a certain amount of sadistic pleasure seeing him stopped at the side of the road a few humdred yards on, fiddling with the ignition Twisted Evil

Told my bro I don't know how he filters with the triple mirrors ... He simply says if he can get through the gap he can or can't .. Rolling Eyes

I point him in the direction of my Oberon rips offs 15 quid, and of virtual identical quality to the 80 quid originals bar the bolts.

I say with them you would gain over 2 inches either side, he,s still not bothered. Rolling Eyes

Cruisers are shit though, admit it. They are slow, sound like bags of spanners, handle like some fat slag in a blimp and look completely gash.

The only benefit is the comfort, but I wouldn't be seen dead on anything that gay.

FWIW I sit far more upright on a sports bike, to hide my arse from those cruiser fags sitting up ready to wank eachother off at the lights. Wink
