Hey All,

Going with a couple of lads on the 7th May to Donnington.

I've recently purchased a GSXR1000 and had very little time to try it out due to bad weather. I've been riding for around 8 years but have never done a track day and after a few years of riding like a complete tit, came off my old blade with a knee down resulting in a knock of confidence and a phobia of tipping the bike.

Now i'm doing a track day with two Pro riders and starting to think i'm nuts.

Looking for tips about track days in general and tips for donnington.

I am of course going into the beginner sections as i'm no show off. Lets pray for good weather.

Help appreciated!

Your confidence will naturally get better throughout the day mate as you learn more about your bike/track. Go at your own pace and dpn't worry about how fast or slow your mates are going and just focus on riding for yourself. Theres quite a few 'First trackday' threads about in this section mate so just have a skim. Each and everyone of them gives different and more advice. Most of all just enjoy your day mate and I hope the weather improves for you.

take it easy.....i've crashed my GSXR1000 track bike twice in less than a year... they're fcuking fast Laughing in all seriousness, just go at your own pace and they're well comfy... tbh, at medium pace, I think the thou is easier/enjoyable to ride than a 600 Thumbs Up

Try not to feel intimidated or pressured by the others...keep calm, just focus on yourself and getting up to speed slowly.

Good luck man, hope you enjoy Thumbs Up
