Hi Everyone
Well after my year or so of hell I am employed again, I had to sell my trusty YBR as cash was tight, however I would like to get another bike to commute as I have found a country lane route that is similair to what I was travelling before about 30 miles a day return. But dear lord prices have gone up, Im looking for a bike to keep even if the test is passed, so I came across this cg here:
https://www.motorcyclesupermarket.com/used-motorcycles/2007-(57)-Honda-CG125--in-Colwyn-Bay-6031916
Any one have experience with this bike shop and does the price seem high?, a lot of dealer bikes i have seen imho are in terrible condition for the price. I would like a minty cg or ybr with low milege and low price lol.
Opinions please.
Thanks
Mark

Then don't buy from a dealer.

If you want a bargain you are best off searching ebay and gumtree for low mileage examples without much use. Some will have been looked after better than dealer bikes and will be a lot cheaper.

Gumtree is great for a bargain, just got to be quick Mr. Green

And here's me thinking prices have plummeted.

Lived about 15 miles away from there for about 10 years. I took my bike there for an MOT once and only once as they "found" a lot of issues with my bike and failed it but offered me "a good price to sort it". I then took it straight to a different garage where it passed without issue.

I bought a helmet from there once and got ok service. There used to be a Canadian parts guy who worked there who was really helpful but he left after a while and went to Woods in Abergele down the road. Subsequently I followed him when I needed parts...

Stuck my nose in there a few times since and thought that a lot of the bikes were at the top end price wise but they're a KTM and Honda main dealer in North Wales, anything orange is obviously really popular and a lot of farmers go there to service their Honda quads so I suspect that's where they're making a killing.

All of that is my opinion though, other people may have had totally different experiences to me.

Dealers for 125's is like sticking your hand up Covdude's arsehole, it will be pleasent at first but eventually shit starts going wrong and they don't want to know, also, because it's a learner bike that somehow justifies a retarted and outrageous price.

Get on ebay and gumtree like said and find a cheap one, then if you are still in wigan get le moto to check it out and fix it stupid cheap, especially if it's a CG.
