First bit of decent sunshine we've had in a while! For once it's not pouring it down with rain... could even reach such highs as 17 degrees C!

Who else is blasting out? Going to do the Three S, shower shit shave, throw my gear and and get out there! Very Happy

Now the question is The Sun Inn or Squires Cafe?

It's been lovely here today too. Smile

Commuting in damp boots though. Sad

Apparently waterproof boots don't stand up too well to several puddles up to a foot deep and 20 feet long. As I found out last night, about 5 miles in to a 160 mile journey. Laughing

Sorry to hijack the thread, but how many miles are you getting out of the GS500 tank? My first tank only lasted for 108 miles, which seemed pretty low. I'm hoping that it was a combination of ragging it everywhere when I first got it and that I dont think that I filled the tank when i first filled it up.

With all the crap weather I've only filled up once since then and I'm on 120 miles at the moment, so would just be interested in how many miles you're getting?

Rich.

When I went down to see Paddy I managed 220 miles before the tank was completely drained (including reserve).

I went up to North Yorkshire after that, managed the 160 mile journey there no problems. Decided to fill up once I was there. Pretend I had my tap set to "RES" for that one though, because it was playing up.

I went up to North Yorkshire again (that's where I was coming back from in the post you quoted) and ran out of fuel about 150 miles in to the journey. Turned the tap on to RES though and rode off to the closest petrol station.

With commuting to college I put 100+ miles on it and then filled up about 10L (but it's a 20L tank).

Minus the commuting to college, all of that was done at 80-100mph. Usually around 90mph.

The bane of my riding life also. I'm often up most the night so I'll tear around at 5-6am or whatever.
