i got a quote online and there don't seem to be a option to pay monthly.

iirc last time i was insured with them there was a monthly option. Maybe give them a call instead Thumbs Up

Why not take out a loan and pay annually? Almost definitely get a better rate.

So we're all clear, if you take a "pay monthly" policy this is (almost certainly) what you are doing, whether you realise it or not.

The broker pays the underwriter up front, you pay back that loan to the broker. If you cancel the policy, you still owe them the money, perhaps less anything that you get back from the underwriter, but with admin fees slapped on it.

In short, don't do it unless you have no other choice, and consider carefully what will happen if you have to cancel the policy - including changing bikes to one that the underwriter won't cover.

Don't expect to be treated reasonably, read the policy before agreeing to it.

Yes, the above is all true. You're essentially taking a loan anyway, just at a high (generally 30-40%) rate.

Unless your credit rating is total shit, your bank will probably give you a loan for 10-15%. That's a saving of at least 15% or £75 on a £500 policy.
