You're the idiot for accusing me of 'advertising' when I'm not selling anything. People like you should shut up and stop posting nonsense when there's no logic behind it. I take it everytime someone mentions a commodity you accuse him/her of advertising it.

Ok, let me spell it out for you in a simple way.

1. The first post you make on this forum is including a link to a shitty jacket.

2.The following posts you make are defending said shitty jacket.

But there's no logic to you selling or advertising anything are you really as stupid to believe what you've written?

You wrote:English isn't your native language?

That is a statement not a question, you should really end it with an exclamation mark not a question mark. Is English your native language?

Think it looks cool enough? I'll be wearing a Forcefield Extreme Harness body armour underneath. That covers chest, back, shoulders, elbows, and it's reuseable lol.

Any ideas for trousers? I have kevlar jeans right now but it looks fugly and it gets too warm on most days.

Mainly getting the jacket to impress the ladies. Should offer minimal abrashing protection too, but for safety I'm relying on Forcefield armour because it's more reliable than a jacket with some kevlar padding.

Decided to quote for prosperity Wink

Honestly, what sort of responses were you expecting?
We're talking about a fashion jacket for £320.

Now I'm not skint, but I'd say £320 for a single item of clothing is borderline absurd. For most on this forum that's probably 2% of annual income.

So if this isn't a troll/advertising post, you're either fairly well off, or have a serious case of mismatched priorities.

Do people who aren't advertising say stuff like:

"Ha, its Italian Nappa leather!"

I'd suggest that being a fashion item, the seams in particular are likely to be in no way as strong as a purpose made bike jacket. I'd reasonably expect for the seams to separate in the event of an impact... in which case the minimal protection will become almost non-existant.

Each to their own, but personally I wouldn't use that jacket (at any price) anywhere near my bike.

[edit] when it comes down to it, you've come on to a biking forum, to ask bikers their opinion on wearing a fashion item which could potentially increase an unnecessary risk to personal safety. Surely you can't be surprised that a significant number of bikers would prioritise their safety above aesthetics?

I fixed that for you.

And look at this, a quick search of Egay brings me this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=logan+leather+jacket&_sacat=See-All-Categories

All at the bargain price of between £60 and £120. And then take into consideration that the Hairy one from X gheys wore a brown one and not a black one I think if you want to look the part you should dress authentically.

https://www.movieleatherjacket.com/product_images/a/093/WolverineJacketX1-001__65958_zoom.jpg

Judging by my calculations I have just saved you a minimum of £200. I do take paypal for the difference. Wink

You do realise that "nappa" is lamb- or kid-skin, and offers about as much abrasion protection as a wet paper towel?

Like fuck will you habitually wear the Forcefield armour underneath while riding your Vespa, because if you were even remotely interested in PPE then you wouldn't look twice at a mis-advertised jacket that does appear to be from the bargain rack at TK Maxx.

If you buy this, then you are the very definition of a fashion victim. Be sure to leave the label on it so that the laaadies know you've got more money than sense; whores flip for that. Thumbs Up

Cheaper, looks better and will actually offer some protection if you end up sliding down the road, unlike the overpriced fashion victim shite you linked to.

Jacket is crap, no protection and I would guarantee it will let in water at bike speeds. OP is obviously spamming, and unable to convince otherwise.

Give us some credit, there is no way anyone here would pay that price for a jacket that would struggle to be a fashion jacket rather than an unstretched leather safety jacket. You could make two of these jackets from one arm of a motorbike jacket, so its a very poor rip off when the seller puts it forward as a bike jacket. Anyone in an accident wearing one of these should be looking to the seller for comp.

And if sOUL REVOLVER OF SOULREVOLVER.COM wants his poor product optimised through google, then we will gladly do so, but with the truth about the unsuitability.

EDIT in fact a quick glance at google shows us on page one on soul revolver jacket reviews that these jackets were mentioned a year ago on another thread, the opinions on here have not changed.

Leather is 0.7mm thick so thinner than my foreskin. In fact my foreskin would probably give better protection from road rash.

Reliable for what?
For abrasion protection I'd expect it be considerably less 'reliable' because it's not designed for that.

Armour protects a pretty small range of injuries - with only a little force it doesn't really make much difference. At a certain 'mid range' there may be enough force there to break your bone if applied quickly to one spot. However the armour spreads that force over space and time which means you get a lower force for longer over a bigger period.
However, once you get up to a certain amount, even being spread a little it's still going to break your bones.

For me abrasion resistance and 'keeping everything in' is the most important aspect.2

Also, don't you think your fasion jacket will look a bit silly with armour underneath; thanks to the thin leather you'll probably be able to see your now rather pronounced 'fat elbows'?
