Hey all!

This is my first post here so i'll just say a quick hello. I've just passed my car driving test, but i was a bit shocked by the insurance quotes i was getting, and driving a car in London is usually slower than just walking, so i've decided to get a bike instead.

I've passed my CBT before but let it lapse before i did my driving test. Now i've decided to redo my CBT, get a bike to practice on, and then come back back and do a direct access course down the line. My question is what are the standard prices for a CBT and are there any recommended places to take them in London?

I looked up where i did my old CBT and the price they are quoting is £129 which seems a bit steeper than i remember.

There are probably two or three CBT places in London - try searching on Google.

Actually, £129 doesn't sound too bad for London, when you compare the price of houses or a pint of beer with those up North Smile

Cheers. Wink

I had a look around and £99 seems to be the cheapest i can find online. I'm making a few phone calls tomorrow and booking it then, and hopefully i'll be able to book it for next week!

Just check that the cheapest option isn't the cheapest for a reason.....
Good facilities will help you gain the confidnece needed before heading out on to the road for that section of the CBT.

Best of luck and enjoy it!

If you're in north London I totally recommend Enfield School of Motorcycling https://www.esofm.co.uk/. Did my CBT with them and have some DAS training booked up. They're all very experienced bikers & give a good service.

They've dropped their CBT price to £99, mainly because there's a bit of a pricing war going on around Enfield.

I booked my CBT with a company called EastSide riders in lee valley. It ended up being £110, but i couldn't find anything cheaper closer. I'm doing it next Thursday, so barring any major mishaps i'll hopefully have my CBT within a week.
