All,

My Blade came with a bent RHS footrest hanger - as the previous owner had it knocked off the stand.

It's out (bent back towards the rear of the bike) by approx. 10 to 15mm.

Generic image:

Any ideas on the best way to achieve this without fucking it up or marking the hanger itself?

Imposibru

Well almost, without the probably risk of fracture.

If you can heat it up bend it heat up bend you may salvage it.

For aluminimunminm. rub some bar soap on it and apply heat (Top of the cooker when Mum/Wife/G-friend/Partner is out)
Heat gently and uniformly until it goes black or rather the soap blackens.
Allow it to cool slowly and bend a little.
Repeat until it conforms to what you need.

You will be able to re-paint or polish after.
You probably will not be able to repair without leaving a mark though.

Even at that, you may still end up with a weakened part waiting for the worst opperchancity to fail under load. Like when you take the flag in the lead and pull a celebratory one-wheeler over the line. Crack!!! how embarrassing... Embarassed

Lol.

I'd have to agree though with mr Flower Petal though Wink , you'd always be doubting it and it does need to support a lot of weight on occasions. If it was something like a mirror stem then I'd bend it back, something important like a brake lever or rear set and I could do without the risk.

Cant you just heat it and bend it back then take both to a powdercoaters? Mind you it might cost about 30 quid so you might get one cheaper on eBay.
