In a single day? Then they're either the best instructors in the world, or they're passing people that they shouldn't be.

Over multiple tries? Well, you can't fail a CBT, you just give up before getting your DL196. Does your £125 buy you a day's training, or does it buy you all you need to get your CBT eventually?

Maybe tone the "Which bike?" threads down a bit until you've actually completed the CBT course, eh?

Just around the corner from me, my ex went with them for her CBT. I saw nothing wrong with their methods at the time (it was a few years ago) so can't see them changing too much since then, but you never know. I haven't heard any horror stories other than those from people who don't want to blame themselves for not being able to take instruction and put it into practice.

Jesus man, I swear it was months ago you joined, 1 month in you're asking about geton sessions, another month goes by you finally book a geton session and tell us about it, another month later you're asking about CBTs then a month later you post a thread saying you're thinking of booking your CBT

JUST DO IT MAN.

Personally, I had my CBT and bike in a month of deciding to start... But then again I also crashed it 2 months later Crying or Very sad

MMC as a shop and the trainning are two different businesses, The shop has gone down hill, The Bistro is good though.

True that they are, state of that shop would put me off using the school tbh!

By now you should be giving advice.

You've been sniffing the cork for 3 1/2 months. Neck some wine down, then you'll be far better placed to ask pertinent questions that might actually help you with a real decision, rather than the time wasting fantasy tosh you've been "asking" lately.

If you don't want to be labelled a fantasist then actually do your CBT and buy a bike. Thinking and talking about it isn't getting it done.

I should point out that when Chris started it was Wintertime so not the best weather to be doing a CBT. But yeah, it's about time to get it done, Summer is coming.

I'm in Warrington and I used Lambs Bike training for CBT and DAS. Great lads, bikes in good condition and looked after well. They run out of the Legion in Grappenhall.
I'd recommend them to anyone starting out. They're such top blokes, and I enjoyed my CBT and Direct Access with them so much, that I still pop in to see them and natter when I'm out and about.

Dear Auntie BCF, every time I start a new thread asking a question, some guy gives me an answer that I don't like. Should I call the police?

Nothing would give me more pleasure, or surprise, than to hear that you've actually done something towards getting into biking.

I did my CBT not long after he started posting i'm fairly sure. Instructor advised us to drive where cars engines have melted the ice-sludge, was fine Thumbs Up

Hell I got the bike came off twice and practically wrote it off before he even decided to finally book the CBT
Not that i'm bragging Mad Crying or Very sad

take your time with it Wink

Dont listen to how many percent have passed. If you pay your cash then expect them to pass you. Its a training course not a test. I would expect to be taught until i pass once i paid, although some will try and say that it only buys you a certain amount of hours...

Stop messing around and book the bloody thing. Any training school will be fine. But i would say pick the one that isnt in the most crowded area. I did my cbt in the middle of a large town first and it scared the shit out of me.
