Seen quite a few movies in 3D at the cinema got 6 pairs of glasses from the cinema after going to watch 3D movies. However went see avengers yesterday and it was the first time that the movie was better than the adverts. Anyone that has seen a 3D movie should be able to understand that.

The movie was amazing but the 3D graphics included in the movie was also out of this world, finally impressed with the quality of the 3D that was incorporated into the movie. Also there were no blotches on the screen unlike any of the other films that ive seen recently at the cinema including the wolverine film, xmen film and ghost rider 2.

Anyone know what they have started using now believe it was sony something Question

Sony do the 'active' glasses that close each eye alternately meaning that the light doesn't have to be polarised and making the colours clearer.
90% of '3D' movies have been 2 movies converted using software and are a total waste of time. The ones shot in 3d are a fuck tonn better. Try going to an IMAX and seeing one of their own movies, they're fucking stunning!

Saw the Avengers the other day.

3D has always been a old, screen darkening, cheap gimmick. It might of seemed like otherwise, but thats only because you've only just watched a good film.

Avatar was the tits. But hands down the best thing I have seen in 3D is either the Corvoisier brandy advert before Seeing Avatar OR, the trailer for the new 3D Attenborough Doc on SKY 3D.

Avatar was one of the worst films id seen if I'm being honest didn't mention it as I was one that never got built into that hype.

This was the best 3D moment before Avengers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubkBRV6uk8c for me.

Found out the sony thing being used it was this Sony Digital Cinema 4K projection system

AVATAR!

Avatar 3D at the BFI Imax in Waterloo London was amazing!

Once you watch a 3D film there, 3D films anywhere other than BFI Imax look very very bad!!

Gonna watch Promethus there on the 3rd June looking forward to it!

Once again I repeat lol 3D at BFI Imax is amazing but the pice is not lol £34 for two people is expensive!

If anybody wants to see really good 3D I can get you into the IMAX here in the museum for free, obviously it will mean getting to the Science Museum. We don't tend to show feature films, but the documentories are amazing.

Obviously only a reasonable amount of people.

Can't use spellcheck on this pc so sorry for any mistakes!

the avengers wasn't actually shot in 3d, it was converted post production so i'm amazed to hear they did such a good job. 3D just hurts my eyes tbh.. Saw the avengers in 2d and it was still an absolutely epic movie if you haven't seen it WATCH IT in 2d or 3d lol
