Hi

I just was wondering if anything will happen...

I have had a RD350ypvs in my flat for a long time ready to do up as a project... The project is not going to happen and I need the space so I have put it up on Ebay...

I have the log book but have not heard anything from DVLA about the bike and I have not Taxed it as it wasn't on the road... was just wondering when I send off the new details of the new owner am I going to get a nasty letter from those who care eg am I going to get a fine... The reason I want to sell it is because I am broke and don't need a fine....

ty in advance....

If you get the letter, why worry? You did SORN it, remember? Wink

Search Sickpup's thread on SORN for clarification of the above.

If you've had it since before the SORN rules which it seems like (you'd have been getting letters otherwise) then don't worry you won't hear anything.

The degree of ball-ache will be entirely down to the DVLA.

I got a demand for many years' VED from those mongs years after I'd sold on a kit car that I'd never SORNed, ignore it, then never heard anything else about it. Likewise, I got two blackmail demands from them last year for "not insured, not SORNed" on 2 bikes, which I also ignored, and which have also blown over.

So purely from my personal experience, I'd recommend against responding to any threats. A court summons would be the sign that you should take them seriously and fire up a sickpup defence.
