Just plonked down the deposit for my Direct Access, going to do it in mid-June after my University exams are over (something to look forward to!)

Can't wait to get on one of the ER-5's at the training school Very Happy

Good luck.
I hope the ER5 that you'll be riding doesn't put you off them as much as the ER5 I did my DAS on.I thought it was a bloody awful bike.
Mind you with 40,000 miles on the clock and more than likely most of those miles were done by DAS pupils.I can possibly allow a bit. Wink

"Tractor" or not - it will be a massive improvement over the 125 you are currently riding. You'll feel more stable with the extra weight and have much more power than your 125 has - comes in very handy Very Happy

Indeed, you have got something to look forward to! Thumbs Up

its gotta be one of the best feelings in the world getting on a bigger capacity bike, i past my mod 1 last week on a cbf600 and i can tell ya , its awesome. ive got my mod 2 next wednesday , got a lesson sat morning and tuesday night , plus an hour before the test, 9.17am lol, cant wait ,
you will feel so much more confident and at ease on a bigger bike , its like its planted to the road , well thats how it feels to me.
i bought a wr125r after passing my cbt , it was great and i suppose still is fun but i do love getting on that 600.
not to go bollocks out fast , just to feel surprisingly at ease .

good luck with all your future biking journey , tests and beyond.
i personally will never buy a car again. Very Happy

Having put off "big boy" biking for years, I can confirm that once you get on the 500, you will indeed be amazed at how easy it is to ride. Enjoy it!

Good luck. Enjoy yourself. I did my mod1 and the training on an er-5 then mod2 and training on an er-6. The more cc the easier to ride, that's my experience so far!
