photoshop bug

I've been using the same version of photoshop for at least a couple of years now, but since I upgraded my system, it seems to have developedd a little bug and was wondering if anyone knew how to sort it.

Basically if I use the magic wand and click more than once the program just exits giving me an error report, the same with the lasso tool, but everything else works fine.

I would go to Adobe, but I uhh seem to have 'misplaced' the registration details

Can't see any reason why it would do that, I'd suggest just scrapping it and downloading another 'legal' copy. The only ever thing I didn't understand with Photoshop and still don't, is when using the polygonal lasso tool it creates the selection half way through doing it yourself. Which is pissing annoying when you're selecting something huge or very detailed.
