After passing CBT, would you buy a 125 and ride around, or would you go straight onto the lessons and mod1 and mod2

Basically meaning you don't buy a 125cc and maybe save some money by not needing insurance?

Personally I don't know if I should buy a 125cc or just do lessons with a local school and use their bikes? (my best mate did this, used the schools 125 for mod1 & 2)

Yet it means the only road experience I have for mod2 is just the lessons I pay for, nothing else

TL;DR - don't get a 125, just go straight onto lessons and full licence and never get the 125, or get the 125 and gain experience, at loss of some money

Provided you look after them and don't buy a new one 125s maintain their value quite well. You'd lose money on insurance and tax but you may save that on not paying for lessons.

Personally I chose to ride a 125 first and it's taught me more than just how to ride, I've also learnt a lot about bike maintenance and repair.

STOP asking the same questions OVER AND OVER..
1/ Get your ruddy theory test 'done' - dont need bike for that
2/ Go get your CBT booked. do it on school bike anyway.
3/ BUY A FUCKING BIKE!
4/ get some lessons booked
5/ Book & do Mod 1
6/ Book & do Mod 2.

Ride out insurance year on 125 or flog on & get something different.

WE DONT CARE.

THERE are your instructions; we have gone around the circle a half a dozen times of more, and established you dopnt have the money to get a great bike, so you SURE dont have the money to try 'skipping' 125ing it and doing an intensive course.... so STOP IT!

I told them to cut you some slack and recognise your frustration... and it you got some sympathy, but it does NOT change the facts that getting on the road TAKES EFFORT, and THAT bit is entirely down to you!

You have your instructions; FOLLOW

Leg-Work, effort, put it in...

NEXT post we see from you, better fucking have the title "New Bike! First Ride!"

Or you are going to get Khama raped!

GO!

DO!

NOW!

Hear hear.
I don't want to read anything else from this kid except that he's accomplished something. The answers to all his pre-match questions are already on this forum, multiple times. Now it's time to go do some of it, THEN report back. I know the CBT is booked, so time to do the theory before then at least.
He should put all his training money on a Newcastle win on Sunday and he'll be able to book the lot on Monday (hopefully! Oh God, please let that happen)
