Indeed, it's always best to shop around. ____________________ Previous Ride's - '01 Aprilia SR125 (Sold) '08 HONDA CBF600n (Sold) '96 CB500 (Sold) '01 FZS 1000 (Sold) '06 CB1300SA (Sold) '07 CB600F Hornet (Sold) - '93 Suzuki Savage LS400 (Sold) '98 Honda VTR1000 Firestorm (Sold) '05 CB600F Hornet (Sold) '01 FZS1000 Fazer (Sold) 2016 Harley Davidson Street Bob SE (Sold) '02 Kawasaki ZX9R (Sold) '98 CB600F Hornet (Sold) '04 Suzuki Bandit 1200s (Sold) '13 Yamaha FZ1-N |

It pays to shop around. I always do and aim to get the quote cheaper each year. Quite often the insurer you're with will beat the cheapest quote, but not always. Does the policy detail with Likewise have the same amount of cover as your previous policy ?
They always give better deals to new customers, hence why i'm always changing. ____________________ There is always someone worse off than you ! |

For my renewal quote the last three years I've shopped around and the company I'm with already has come back online as the cheapest and cheaper than the renewal quote... It's becoming annoying, why if they offer better deals online is my renewal quote always more expensive?! ____________________ Current Bikes - Kawasaki ZX-6R (636) | BMW G650GS

I did something similar with the car except I took the cheapest quote to save £180. The idiots I ended up with actually scared me to the point where I had to cancel the policy in the end - their admin made MCE look like award winners and the actual documentation looked like it had come off a cheap photocopier! Would be petrified about how they would handle a claim.
If its a broker you use you probably end up with the same lot anyway, equity red star etc. so its no big bother eally. Congrats on getting it down as far as that!! ____________________ RS125 > CBR6 > SV650S > ZX636R > GSX1300RZ Hayabusa > 06 RSVR Mille > SV1000S > Street Triple 765 RS |

Always worth to shop around. Ive never really stayed with the same insurer for more then 2 years also.
Folks copped a huge rise, for an R Reg VW estate from £500 tpft up too £900. Even tho a new quote on GoCompare with the same company was cheeper they were having none of it - So to them... |

I never paid more than £400 quid for bike insurance and I was riding since 17. Some bigger bikes actually cheaper to insure for me at least then lets say a 600cc sports, Fireblade is about £230 quid and ZX6R I currently ride is £270 but I am still happy. ____________________ Theory Passed: 23/10/2008 49/74 Bike Test Passed: 05/01/2009 1 minor

I can't believe people wouldn't shop around for insurance. It definitely pays too! You're price is really good mind.
I was 19 at the time of insuring my GSX-R 750 K7, 3 years NCB and I got it for £280, which I think is fucking awesome.
This year it's around £200! ____________________ Journalist, student, egotist.
