Module One pass with no minors against all odds :D

Hello,

Would just like to thank everyone on here for the top notch advice and info I've received on here over the last few weeks. (Not to mention to class A chuckles).

Well this morning at 7:30 am I set out in the cold and the rain for 60 mile journey to the test centre in Leicester. Half way through the journey I switched bikes to a rented Honda XR 125 as I had little faith in my abilities to drag that beastly Marauder across the mod 1 manoeuvres. After getting lost in Leicester town centre I finally arrived at the DSA centre ten minutes late wet and cold Luckily the examiner (although quite rightly pissed off) said he would go on with the test. Obviously I won't give out his name and I doubt he's reading this but on the off chance, thanks again for having the patience of a Saint

Got through the test with no minors as said before. Did screw up the first time I went through the speed trap though getting 42kph to start with. He gave me another go and I got 52kph second time round so no worries. Overall I'm really pleased as this was my first attempt with no training except for a cbt retake. Also happy considering I turned up hungry, sleep deprived and stressed out- but that was my own fault.

So overall if anyone is worried about taking their mod 1 I would tell them to just go for it. If you're not confident take some training but as has been said by others on here if you can't do the manoeuvres required on the mod 1 you probably shouldn't be on the road. Obviously some people don't perform on the day because of nerves though. Now I just need to get the cash together to get through the mod 2 and it's big boy bike for me

Also, I am aware this has been said before but to anyone about to do the test- for God's sake don't change out of second when you're heading towards the speed trap. Leave it second and rev the absolute tits off the bike.
