hi guys

just rebuilt my carbs on my 91 GSX750F for the third time in the last month due to pilot jets blocking up ....again Sick

i have tried flushing the tanks out and swirling it with fuel and a load of nuts n bots in there also tried 3 different kinds of inline filter none of them worked and on wide open throttle the bike was quickly starved of fuel...

It REALLY doesnt like inline filters so i need to take them out but that will mean even more crap in the fuel.

So i want to re-seal my tank.

My options seem to be Pet-seal ultra kit (ethanol proofed)
or a POR-15 kit with marine clean and sealant included

i really know nothing about tank sealing but i cant stand having to do constant carb jobs just too keep my bike functional Embarassed

Advice welcomed Very Happy

I have used pet seal a few times, its better to get the larger size pack and make sure the tank is well washed out and dry before you start, the last one I did was spun out over about a week after the tank was washed out it was left in the spare bedroom to dry, the wife still doesn't know

Just bought a bottle of Petseal Ultra for £20 Very Happy its 250 but says it should do a tank up to 20 litres .

gonna wash it out / dislodge any loose rust with a bit of petrol and a few foot of chain to shake around inside it .

any issues with this plan ?

just make sure its warm enough for it to go off, last kit I got for someone there was something he didn't read in the instructions about temperature and it took ages to dry and dripped out from the tap hole
