If it's going that cheap, there's something wrong with it that'll cost at least the same again.

Which Lifan?

With a fresh MOT on it (at his cost), think £400, maybe £500 if it's cosmetically mint. At the first hint of trouble, sell it on.

No? Think what else you're going to get for that money at this time of year.

cheap? £600 for a ching chong piece of shit rejected by anyone with half a brain cell is rediculous i wouldn't even want to think about buying it.

It being Chinese goes without saying. What I meant was that any 125 worth its salt shouldn't be that cheap, and no doubt has a myriad of problems.

I wouldn't even consider it; better off buying a Japanese bike, take good care of it, and sell it on for what you paid. My plan, anyway.

That's a binding offer! You all witnessed it! Wink

I stand corrected: what others learner legal 125s are you going to get for that money at this time of year?

I meant that you can hardly be considered an authority on the quality of chinese bikes when you bought the worst Kawasaki made in the last thirty years.

There are the odd TZR125, NS125R etc around for £500.

Indeed, you get far more authoritative answers from people parroting second and third hand what they've heard down the pub or read online, right? Wink

I asked which model of Lifan precisely because saying "Lifan" is as useful as saying "Kawasaki" - and then forgetting to mention that it's a GPz 305.

Not that I know anything about particular Lifan models except the LF250-B, but someone might. There may be a good 'un out there, stranger things have happened. Not often, granted, but look at listen to Susan Boyle.
