Just noticed that my boots are starting to feel their age they only cost me £5 with p+p of ebay and served a few rides so worth their cash. However after some more anyone recommend any (image below is the sort I'm on about) Question

On a serious note I`m due a new pair of boots and I will be looking for plain black, but zip up ones.

Whats your budget? TCX Infinity are probably the best, but you're talking £150.

Knew there was something that I was missing top end of the budget would be about £100. However have got another pair of boots so can look on ebay at other recommendations to get them potentially cheaper.

The problem with boots like that is they aren't comfortable to walk in, even short distances.
Something like the taller army boots are a good buy - I prefer German paraboots but they have all improved a lot recently if you pay a bit more.

The thing is I've got some italian boots bit like the ones in this link Other boots and the cruiser type feel a lot better when walking around. Even tried the sidi's/alpinestars however they felt extremely uncomfortable.

Will look into the German paraboots though thank you for the recommendation. Are these the type you mean Example boots

This slightly different kind have more padding round the top.
They're worth having anyway as a boot you can wear down the pub or walking up a mountain.
Pretty much waterproof too.

They have a type of speedlace so you unhook in the middle and they go slack - don't have to fiddle with laces much

Second for Altberg!

They run at about £150 but they will last an awful lot longer then those ones in the pic, and are comfy to walk in all day!

I've got a pair of Dainese Fulcrum's only had them for 4 months or so but they are really comfy to walk in and have gore-tex so water proof too.

Not sure what they retail at but I got mine for about £120 and it's a lot of boot for the money

What size are you?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Grinders-Wild-Engineer-Biker-Boots/dp/B0054R4PBY/ref=pop?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&ssv=size_name%3A8%20UK&qid=1336340010&sr=1-1

In the style you want but really heavy duty.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/style-biker-boots-brown-black/dp/B005D7Z2YO/ref=sr_1_23?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1336340095&sr=1-23

Similar but cheaper.

Thank you for the recommendations everybody will look into the Dainese Fulcrum's and the Altbergs expands my list of boots to try.

The engineer boots look good, however the other one you listed mark aren't listed in my size which is 11, tried contacting the german para boot supplier however he says that supply is drying up and he is finding it really hard to source the boots at the moment.

When Lidl has the bike stuff come in, they usually have a set of boots like that.

How about these.

https://www.getgeared.co.uk/HIGHWAY_No_1_Chopper_Cruiser_Boots?sc=17&categor...

I have been using some for about 12 thousand miles and they are still good. comfortable for walking in as well.

I liked the look of these... So i bought a pair, just came in the post today.

MY GOD THEY FEEL AWESOME. These are some very sturdy boots!, they're made of thick leather, and with some dubbin look like they could be made pretty waterproof. They are comfy as hell! I've been walking around in them all morning. Seriously good quality and in great condition!

Scuse the funky socks, just showing the leather gusset that should keep the water out nicely Very Happy
