hi, does anybody know if the sv650 curvey shape had different head angles between the naked and faired version.

the reason i ask is because iv juts converted my faired model to unfaired with upright bars ect and the front end feels awfull at speed and small bump just send the fron end all twitchy.

cheers adam.

I believe naked and faired are the same frame, the specs show they have all the exact same measurements for length, wheelbase, height etc .
Putting the higher bars on would be taking some weight off the front, altering the riding position and along with the loss of fairing weight and aerodynamics would alter the front end feeling. I swopped my Bandit1200 Mk2 from faired to naked and lifted the bars a touch, it did go a bit lighter on the front but couldn't be described as twitchy, have you altered the fork height and/or jacked the back up as well??

Still on stock suspension? I've felt lots of twitches at anything from 50-100 from the SV when I had it and went over bumps.

nope iv not played with the height of the forls that was my next option, maybe im just not used to the feel of the bike from how it was before, i mean before you could go pretty much flat out on corners but now the front just feels like ts hovering and not planted.

im going to slide the forks up the clamps a tad see if that changes anything.

That will transfer a bit of weight, but it also makes it turn quicker and can feel "flightier", costs nothing so worth a try just to see if you like the feel any better.
