I am looking for somewhere to buy a snowmobile helmet with a heated visor. I know HJC make them but it would appear that noone in the UK sells them (funny, being a country famous for deep snow and all that )
Could anyone recommend a store that might be prepared to send one over for me?
And yes (before the safety Nazis jump on me), I know they are not kitemarked or road legal in the UK. Neither are some of my other helmets and I don't care. If I am going to be made to wear a helmet, it might as well keep my face warm in the winter.
Cheers. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

i was going to suggest e-bay, seeing as it normaly individuals or people who ship overseas anyway its your best bet i reckon...
As for the legalitys...
Lets face it, its unlikely that it will be much more than a motorbike helmet with suiteably shaped heated elements, chances are you could just take the innards out of the helmet and put them in a road legal helmet, or a better one... it would have to be done properly though because, styrofoam+heat=dead ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Exactly what I mean.
There are a load on ebay but none classed as 'available to the UK'. I suppose it does no harm to ask.
Far as I know, they basically ARE motorbike helmets, I think they even do a visor kit to fit a normal HJC helmet. I can't believe noone has cottoned on to importing these things to the UK...Imagine having a completley fog-free visor locked right down all the time, even in freezing fog and when you stop.....bliss! ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink.
