Getting sick of this one friend now. He's an actual retard, he does have problems but it's getting beyond a joke now. Everything he touches he breaks, on the mayday run monday he reversed his bike into mine, saw it was there, but carried on regardless until his bike was out. He scratched my bar mirror and took a chunk of paint (over an inch in size) off my freshly painted engine guards.

And in the same day he rammed my friend and bent his drum brake (the lever on the actual drum).

He's refusing to pay up for a can of paint. I'm so sick and tired of his shit I'm going to resort to getting it from his insurance co.

I haven't reported it yet, would I be able to now? And how would I go about it? I don't know who he's with.

It just sickens me that he looked at my bike, and just carried on reversing it and even when I heard the 'grinding' he just fucking carried on and didn't care!

cheers.

shouldnt be a problem to an extent getting his insurance details

something similar happened to me if you know the reg of the vehicle and obviously make to confirm over the phone they normally spill the name if you need it and the insurance company their with

you then would have to contact their insurance company explain the situation and i guess say he refuses to pay the repairs so you feel insurance companies need to be involved

Don't bother more hassle than it is worth, ditch the 'friend' it's easy, don't answer the phone or respond to texts and don't go out with him.

Problem solved.

^This. The guy sounds like a total ringpiece. Claiming for a bit of paint will be more time-intensive arseache than this person's worth.

Seeing as he is such a retard, go to his house and put stabilisers on his bike. Thumbs Up Then slash his tires for good measure. Laughing

Do not do it. Do not.

It will feck up your insurance.

Seriously having a claim even if it is not your fault is not worth the hassle, insurance companies even though it wasn't your fault will increase your insurance premiums.

I personally wouldn't claim anything under £1K.

I wouldn't claim as it'll hurt you, admittedly not as much as him, but it'll still show as you'll have to say you've claimed. Remember this will also affect Cars if you do or plan on driving one in the not so distant future.

I'd tell the guy what you think and say you're not going to hang around with him again as he's essentially an irresponsible, worthless shitebag and I'd leave it at that.

As above; it's nice revenge, but it'll cost you a good chunk more in the long. Especially, I suspect, if you then have another non-fault accident or two and suddenly they decide it's "a trend".

^ What KawaKid said re insurance.
Situations like this require a bit of sneaky, underhand tit-for-tat. You won't gain financially but you may feel a lot better for doing it. Oh and don't forget to ditch the loser.

I'd tell him that if he doesn't stump up for the repairs you'll push his bike over and then see how he likes it.

If the damage to your bike isn't to bad, just let it be a lesson and go.

Honestly pal for the spec of paint that he's damaged it isn't worth it. You'll have to declare an accident on your insurance for the next 5 years (all be it non fault but it still puts up your premium) and so it'll just cost more in the long run.

While I know its frustrating, and if it was a 2012 BMW S1000RR that he'd reversed into causing £2ks work of damage I'd say go for it, but its not, no kittens were killed so just move on in life Smile

He's not your "friend", he's just a cockpiece with no concept of personal responsibility. Any contact with him, in any sense, just drags you down towards his level.

Take it on the chin as the cost of learning that not everybody who hangs around near you (too near in this case) is your friend.

And unless you're going to sink below his level by setting out to screw him over, then just cut him off stone cold, no contact at all. If you ride with a club or crew, and they won't support you in telling him to sling his hook, then find one that will.

Personally I think a bit of scraped paint is a small price to pay to realise someone is a complete bellend. Thumbs Up

It's weird that, when I crashed my insurance paid out loads to the other guy, the other week I put my details in for a quote with an accident for £2000 damage and my quote came back cheaper than what i'm paying now

Go figure Rolling Eyes

Don't ride with the guy

He asks why tell him he's a cock with no respect for you

Dont bother trying to claim the insurance, it'll cost you more in stamps than its worth

Instead I recommend getting some where with a good view so you can enjoy the show when karma Karma catches up with him Thumbs Up
