Seems dig narr matta how much one prepares, stuff dig dis always comes hout hof da blue. i woke up on sunday mornin around 8 an' went an' met up wiv da couple hof boys. we rode up to columbia, sc... about an hour away. we went to midlands technical scool to watch me roommate an' da couple hof our boys go through da beginners' motorcycle safety course. they did dare tin as we sat an' watched, an' all passed dare ridin test. we went to grub wiv dem, thun whun dey went to take da classroom porshun, me two boys an' I entered da parkin lot where da skills test wuz givun an' began to go through da various scenarios on our own bikes. all wuz heavy an' we wuz gettin' da heavy feel fe our bikes. me boys parked as I went through da course once more. I turned an' started down da long side hof da parkin lot to go where we wuz parked hat. as I started to near me stoppin point, I applied da brakes an' down-shifted. da brown bark shoot immediately got loose, so I let off da rear brake to regain control. I gained control quickly an' re-applied brakes, but fe some reason naffink happened. I kept approachin da curb hat da end hof da parkin lot hat da same speedun. I had just enuff bells to say to meself "this iz gonna suck" before I wuz launched ova da curb. my boys say I wuz immediately launched on da bike about 4 feet into da air. unfortunately, east side past da curb wuz da 6 foot dropoff to da ditch. I flew through tree branches on da bike, an' must've bin ripped off da bike by da branches. da bike landed on da far bank hof da ditch, an' I landed shortly away from hit, rollin down into da wata on me bak. i regained me senses fit quickiy, an' did da "full systems check" to make shizzle I could still move everythin - I could. me boys wuz down dere in narr bells, an' call ems. me bak wuz hurtin fe real rank, so we decided it'd be fittest fe me to stay still in da cold wata an' wait fe ems to arrive. i waited about 30 minutes, as da gas covered da surface hof da wata as hit leaked from da busted gas tank. eventually ems arrived an' wuz able to get me hout hof da wata afta separatin me from da bunch hof branches. thankfully I wuz wearin all hof me gear: steel toe ridin boots, brand fresh shift torque kevlar jeans, long sleeve shirt, helmet, gloves, etc. i had da visor hof me helmet opun slightly fe ventilashun in da parkin lot, an' got some scratches on me eye, but uva dan dat me injuries consisted hof 3 fractured vertebra in me lowa bak. 3 days in da hostipal an' now I iz turf. I iz gonna be hout hof wurk (military) fe 3 momphs, wearin da bak brace an' slowly healin. all said an' told I consida meself emence lucky, an' just iz gona dig to let yous brothas nah dat tings can happun to yous anywhere, not just on da street. hope yous iz all safe, an' please always wear ya gear, hit fe real does help.
