Sorn/v5 balls up, now getting fined!

I have a mate who sold an nsr125 two years ago but didnt fill out the v5 (hes polish and didnt know?), now the scrote he sold it too never filled out the v5 either. Now my mate is getting fined for not declaring sorn from some stupid debt collection agency.

Does he have to pay? I thought i read somewhere that since the dvla cannot prove that he didnt send it then its all a load of bollocks and its just them using scare tactics to extract 80 quid from normal people. Evil or Very Mad

Say you sent it off when he picked up. I have a whole document you can use if you wish, just change name, road and reg plate/dates

Please stop saying "fined."

I'd tell him to simply ignore it until he receives a court summons. Anything that he does up to then will just encourage the ghouls.

If it reaches that point, you can start searching for sickpup's comprehensive bitch-slapping of the DVLA in court.
