For starters try the A538 to Macc, out the other side on the A523 and then the A54 to Buxton (or Congleton). If you use the A54 to Buxton then turn right on the big left hander by the Rose and Crown Pub and carry on the Longnor.
You choose the next bit but you could go Buxton, Whalley bridge and home. Should take roughly 2 hours all in.
If you go towards Congleton then you could continue to Arclid, up to Holmes Chapel and Knutsford then home. Roughly 1 & 1/2 hours? ____________________ https://www.metacafe.com/watch/1972097/how_to_behave_on_a_forum/ |

As above,
Get to the CnF and have a brew. Head towards Buxton, take the 1st right, then right again.

The A54 is a cracking road.
Had an ace day up there a couple of weeks back.
One of those days when everything just feels right and you are totally zoned in. |

Here is my suggestion.
From Wilmslow head out through Mobberley to Knutsford. That's a good road especially on a nice day for a 'newbie'. A bit of everything while not too hectic.
From Knutsford take the A50 towards Warrington. At its Junction with the A56 turn left to Stockton Heath. Take A49 left. call me I will make you a brew [No. sent via mail] by now you may want one and you will be riding right past where I live.
You may decide on just riding by as the A49 is a fab road that carries on south virtually as far as Australia.
You may not wish to go quite that far but why not visit the new J&S store (they moved about 3 weeks ago) down the A49 not far from Oulton park. Its impressive. Very.!
Then home.!

B5355 to Alderley Edge, then the A535 all the way past Chelford, past Joddrell Bank (be careful here, hundreds of bikes around here this weekend as theNABD rally is on) and keep going to Holmes Chapel.
In Holmes Chapel go right at the little roundabouts and take the A50 back to Knutsford. Turn right at the lights and take the A537. Once past the station, left at the next lights will get you on the B5085 and take you back to Wilmslow via Mobberley.
Alternatively turn off the A50 onto the B5082 at the golf club (Wood something I think) and follow that to Northwich cos the Thundersprint is on today and tomorrow! ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |
