I've seen tilt shift photography before, never seen it put into a video though - and in such a way that it turns into a stop-motion film.

Making something real appear like a model = awesome!

You can do tilt-shift effect with software but the proper way is to use a tilt-shift lens which makes video fairly straightforward on newer SLRs.

there are a few reasonable tilt shift apps for the ipad if you want to try it out yourself
