i did use megaload for ages but it finally got shut down so ive reverted back to the classic rapidshare and before you all say but you have to pay its like 8 quid a month if you pay monthly for unlimited downloads ( if you have no download limit on your broadband deal.....or dial up :S?)

The problem with your Rapidshare/Fileserve/Uploadedto/Hotfile/Extabit/Fuck knows what else, is that there are so many of them. If your source uploaders all uploaded to RS then that would make your subscription idea simple. But they don't. The most prolific uploaders like uploading to sites with affiliate programs where they get a pay off when you download, and that isn't RS.

I dont mind paying a usenet subscription because it caters to all my needs. There's no way I'm paying multiple subscriptions to a myriad of dodgy filesharing companies.

Also RS has very fast takedowns, as does hotfile. This is probably not helped when people upload The.Latest.Hottest.Sony.WMG.Movie.of.the Second.Xvid.720p.PiRaTeZ.rar rather than some random name that can't tie in to the same filenames sourced from a pirate release site.

I use RS etc but only free downloads, and RS sucks big time in free use since they capped it to 30KB/s (the rest cap free usage to ~60-150KB/s).

Fuck rapid share and those sort of sites, megaupload was only good because I had a plugin that played video uploads as though they were a stream so you didnt have to sit there and wait for the download to finish

Torrents win hands down for me, screw paying for a rapidshare account or anything like that, might aswell have bought the product
theres one thing pirating but its another paying someone else for the hosting of said pirated material Thumbs Down
