I'm thinking of buying one of these tomorow, as I need a new jacket.. it looks alright - knox CE armour, waterproof/cordura so the "spec" is there as it were, but can't say I've really heard of rayven Confused

Anyone have any experience with them?

To be honest the price is about right, I don't want to spend much and do want a 3/4 length style jacket as it's for green laning use as well as road..

i got there boots and gloves, so far, ok. The boots has the protection in the right places, the gloves are summer stuff, so nothing exciting there.

The way i think is, if its has the right protection in the right places, it do, until you can splash out a bit more.

If you think that bad, i have some water proofs that i cant find anything about.

i doubt there is owt wrong with them...

Buyt for about £20 more you could get a hein gericke or even frank thomas coat... another thing, i'd try it before you buy it, a loose fitting coat will be totaly useless in a crash...

I bought a Rayven flip front lid which fell apart within weeks of buying it. I got it replaced for free and the replacement fell apart too. Needless to say, I wouldn't take another Rayven lid and got a Cromwell instead.

Personally, I wouldn't touch their stuff ever again however "good value" they might seem. Thumbs Down

Yams, are you a big lad? If so, I've got a Rayven jacket that you can have for nowt.

Only getting rid because I lost 3 stone and it is now too big.

44" chest, I think, blue, black and grey.

Let me know.

I've got Rayven boots and gloves, and they are ok. Sounds like the helmets should be left on the shelf though.

It'll probably be too big for me then, thanks v much for the offer tho Very Happy Not many people are kind enough to do that Smile

I can't say that I'd have it as I know it'll be too big for me, but you should stick it on Ebay as they seem to sell for £30 + for a decent textile jacket.

Well done on the 3 stone too Smile

Would much prefer to give it and the accompanying trousers (Hein Gericke) to someone I know who needs them.

Cheers anyway.

This may be possible, but I had just said that Demonic could have them. He is a lot further away, however, and may be OK with you having them.

I'll get back to you.

Thumbs Up

Rayven are quite good, I have a pair of their boots which are
very comfy. Had a jacket which lasted me only one year but
it was great while it lasted.

These days I wear nothing but hein gericke, their stuff is fantastic,
the jacket I bought last year is still waterproof. I own the nice
and comfy trousers which match the jacket which are about
to be used when it starts to get cold. (so I will be using them
in November MAYBE) I also love the short boots @£75 which
only last 6 months.

As a Courier (can I use that word here???) I find hein gericke
to be top quality stuff. Rayven would be my second choice if
I was not on the circuit.
