I have the option of both these bikes, both are the exact same price of £1100. Suzuki has 3000miles while the varadero has 6k miles.

I'll be using the bike to travel about 10 miles to work through mostly 30mph or 40mph roads with the occasional 20mile trip on A roads when visiting parents.

Which bike do you guys think is the best value for money?

£1100 for a Varadero sounds excellent.

Cheapest on BikeTrader at the minute is £1650.

For that price I'm assuming there's something wrong with the varadero, so, Suzuki Thumbs Up

I did think that, but I'm assuming OP is smart enough to not buy a bike with one wheel or something. Very Happy

The Varadero is a second bike that isn't used much so i assume that's why it's being sold cheaper than usual

Varadero it is then!

Varadero all day long, at that price you could use it for a year and still make money.

Varadero all day every day, top bike, loved mine and it never missed a beat, good for commuting and fun, big bike looks, great for getting you ready for a bigger bike. 70mpg, big tank with a 200 mile range, comfy, good road presence, stick a set of bt45's on and it sticks to the road in all weathers. Check it over well though as thats a very good price.

I have seen 2003 Varaderos going for £1,500 to £1,800 with higher mileage than that! Even if it needs a bit of work, there's not much that's outside the scope of the average DIY novice.

If you buy it and use it for 2 years, you will probably be able to sell it for more than £1,100 = free bike!

Went and saw it last night, it's in great condition, has a little dent in the tank but it's so small i don't even care. It also has hand guards and a belly pan on it, all I'll need to do is stick a taller screen on it.

Checked all the usual spots and it's in cracking condition...it's getting mot tomorrow and I'll hopefully be picking it up on Saturday!

Pics when it's all sorted and in your possession.

Great Bargain mate!
