This engine does just scream out sequel though and is a bit cheesy in that it is such a typical Hollywood happy ending.

Personally I thought that ending was the crap one. I had the special edition DVD with both endings. The ending where he gets munched is the better of the 2. This one was a bit too wishy washy.

Another ending was planned for the movie it ended up with Will Smith going down the main street in a car with everybody cheering at the sides of the roads (it was based a few months after the event).

Most probably everyone was cured firing darts of the cure into the dark seekers, my old computer teacher was part of the audience on a school trip. Showed me pictures when I was at college.
