So after just finishing my shift at work ive come round the corner into my street to find! My garaged door has been forced open and my ktm 125 exc has been boosted by some scum fucks Evil or Very Mad

Even though it was chained down, and theres no cylinder head on the bike at the moment,im still rather pissed...yea it was a banger! But it was my banger! Untill some fucks decided to libarate it from me! And they even had the cheek to steal my helmet Neutral
Im geussing they shifted it into a van and fucked off!

So ive now decided im going to apply for a firearms licence,so if in the near future it happens again whilst im at home, im litreally going to do a crank2 and shove a mossberg 500 pump action up there arse!

And give them a colonic irragation the will never forget! Twisted Evil

A old man once shot one of two burglars in his home. End of the day he got put in jail for excessive force as the scum who was shot died.
It weird in the UK as you are not aloud to use force to protect your belongings. As i can remember my cousin being arrested when i was younger for punching someone who tried to steel his phone on the bus as defense.

Yeah you're better off just getting an Anatolian Shepherd dog and putting up a 'beware of dog' sign, then when the cunts get ripped to shreds the worst that could happen is your dog gets PTS.

Guns not gonna help in the slightest in the UK, you will be blamed regardless. As said above, a man shot 2 people running Out of his property with his belongings and got done up the bum by the law!

Not as heavy? Easy in and out of a van. They're easy to break or sell?

This was targeted because it was a competition enduro bike - it can be sold on without a numberplate to people riding off-road in enduros etc.

125s are targeted by kids because they're less scary to ride and can generally be taken "over the fields".

I believe with the new government etc, etc the law is not starting to side with 'reasonable' force - however guns are probably going to make things worse for you in that sort of situation.

My old man got a shotgun with license decades ago, for self defence as he was a coin dealer, he had no sporting use for it at all, he was honest why he wanted it, the copper said whatever you do don't shoot the bastard in the back and make sure you say he came at you Wink how things have changed!

Sad but true, because this had the head off the engine it's unlikely to have been kids looking for a joyride I would have thought. Got any photo's/details of distinguishing marks/stickers or anything that might help identify it? I'm always checking my local classifieds for bikes (like alot of people do) so one of us on here might reckonise it if it come's up for sale.

Sorry to hear this BTW, had a couple of peds nicked in my time. Everyone ended up destroyed but local fecking scrotes. Evil or Very Mad

FAC isn't worth it mate, honestly the paperwork and bureaucracy you have to go through is a nightmare. Just get a shotgun certificate, buy a nice shotgun, and keep that in the house. DO NOT say you want it for self defence. Put "Sport" as your reason for having it (the form states that "sport" is a legitimate reason for owning a shotgun).

With shotguns, everybody has a right to own one, it is the police's job to test you for why you should not be allowed one rather than testing to see why you should be allowed one.

Damn, sorry to hear that.

If it's off the road, how did they know it was there? Sounds like local knowledge, career thieves are lazy scum who will nick things from next door rather than go 5 minutes out of their way.

Ask the neighbours if they heard anything - if they heard the door being forced but no van, then you're looking for scrotes round the corner.

They're also stupid enough to just advertise your bike on Gumtree or on the personals down the local Tesco straight away.

The shotgun fantasy is very tempting, but in the meantime, any Blunt Object will do much the same job with far less chance of making you the villain.

I don't see how owning a shotgun is somehow going to deter someone from stealing your bike while you aren't at home!
I'd assume the theives knew that the place was empty when they pounced. And if you were at home when they came are they really going to continue trying to steal and load a bike into a van in full view of you necessatating you to draw a shotgun!?

That's the same as it is now. The people who get done generally shoot thieves who were running away with their loot, and that's not allowed, but you can shoot someone if they're running at you with a knife/sword/gun etc. because you fear for your life. Especially if the gun is supposed to be a deterrent and you don't intend to shoot anyone, but in the heat of the moment it's a last resort.

I know of two such incidents when bike thieves were confronted by householders only to be told to ''get back inside and don't call the police 'cause we know where you live and we'll come back later and burn your effin house down''

Should have made as much noise, turned all the lights on, called the police there and then, possibly try and wake the neighbours up too, bring the dog out etc.
You'd have to be pretty spinless to let some lowlife make off with your bike right in front of you and not try to stop them.
So what are you suggesting they casually popped back inside and let them take their bikes away!

Compared to the firearms issue, where does the law stand with regard to severity if you have electrification of a fence or gate in front of the property. Assuming you have warning notices positioned before the building entrance etc?

And also what about inside a locked building like a garage? If you had some form of live electric security inside say a garage, that could only cause harm or death after a thief had forced entry into a locked building, does that change anything? There are lots of people that have dodgy old out of date and non regulation wiring or badly connected appliences etc that could be deadly? Wink

I know someone that has a halfrauds 'battery charger' connected to their bike that actually runs 240v through the chassis.

Obviously you need to modify your bike before attempting to do this!

Do you know this to actually be true or could he be telling little white lies?
