FM were italian. Very popular in the 80's they did EU legal 'copy' of the Simpson Starwars called the 'Galacktika', that was a favourite of the eLCie boys.
Believe that the same factory knocked out hats for a couple of brands, but cant remember which, & I had a feeling that they were bought out by Sharke or some-one like that. Haven't seen them under FM brand for quite a few years, but could be still going. Always budget to mid-range brand.
Bought from show, unseen, for a fiver? Could be worth a punt... you might use it for a headlamp shell or novelty ash-tray if it's no good.
But you buy on fit-first and any hat that dont fit ent no good.
When I fold helmets, hats came in two shapes, Aria's or Shoei's, if Aria wasn't comfy you put them in a Shoei, if they couldn't afford the Shoei, you showed them AGV's, if they couldn't afford an Arai you showed them a Shark or a Nolan.... and if you couldn't find ANYTHING to fit them.... you pulled an FM off the shelf!
They were a more unusual fitting! You have been warned.
Also, possible that an FM Show-Special could be as OLD as your Shoei! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!

My dad just picked it up coz it was cheap. I obviously wont wear it if its not a good fit.

My FM helmet did me proud in my accident way back when. No complaints from me.
However, it's not about cost or brand or anything else, what matters is FIT. Does it fit your head? Is it comfortable or do you have pressure points?
It still makes me wonder, why brand and 'what is best' still come up in topics on a frequent basis...do you peeps not read or do searches?
