I am looking for a new jacket and trousers and I had an email from SBS about some discount on Weise clothing. Is this kit decent stuff?

The Raptor 2 looks a complete bargain - what do you think and how do you think it compares to other jackets? https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_cat/237

I've had a set of Weise textiles for about 3 1/2 years - still going strong, though the velcro fastenings on the trousers are a little tired but I think that's to be expected.

I've had a Weise Retro jacket for about 4 n a half years.
Only thing gone wrong is the inner pocket zip is shagged.
The leather is thick. Stitching is fine. Fits me like a sack of spuds, that's just me not the jackets fault Smile
Have a pair of Weise leather jeans too, I'm a bit too fat for them now, but will fit them again one day Smile again, quality seems good enough.

I bought a new leather jacket a couple of years ago and cannot part with the Weise one lol it is an old friend.

I've had a weise heavy textile jacket for over 15 years. It's still going strong. I can't fault it at all. Of course how they made stuff in the 90's and how its made now, when it's probably made in a child sweat shop in bangladesh, is anyone guess.

Excellent - I'm looking at the Phsyco set - they appear to be a leather/textile hybrid - are these generally good? The set will be around £340, does that sound OK? Or do you think I could get something better with that budget?

I have the Weise Dynastar II textile jacket and trousers and a pair of Weise highway boots - £350 for the lot, on offer, I now know why...

All of it is shit, but the boots and trousers are beyond appalling. The trousers are thin and the insides shit themselves meaning the armour flails around (I had a new pocket sewn in) and a hole forms around the crotch. Neither the jacket nor the trousers are waterproof in heavy rain.

The boots are the worst though. Thin leather with stupid bits of plastic that place loads of stress on the stitches, the stitches rip meaning the plastic bits act like funnels for rain water, directing it into your socks. The inside around the heel tears to pieces leaving loads of white shit everywhere whenever I take the boots off, also means the waterproof (it was never waterproof) membrane rubs through and the boots leak even more than before. They even leak around the toes on both boots where I can not even see any bits wearing out and falling apart.

IME, Weise gear is absolute shite, I wouldn't touch them again with a bargepole.
