https://uk.weather.com/partners-51812weekend/forecast

Outlook: Becoming much warmer and drier. Summer about to arrive.

Pressure is expected to steadily build next week and winds will be lighter too. A weakening low pressure system may bring some showers to Ireland by mid week but the rest of the UK will enjoy plenty of sunshine. By Wednesday temperatures will reach 21 to 24C inland and by Thursday we could see 26C in the south. Even northern Scotland can expect temperatures to reach 21 to 24C.

Very Happy Very Happy

About bloody time. Me and some mates are going up to Scotland on Thursday and there have been serious discussions about layers, thermals, rain suits and winter gloves etc. Of course, I maintained that it would come come just in time Laughing

Just in time for me to go back to work following my grey and cold five day weekend. Still, managed to bottom almost the entire house and garden...

It was about 14 degrees at midday here in Norfolk. It's not even that now.
I put my summer gear on to go to work this morning, because i didn't want to get too hot on the way home. I didn't!
Bloody cold ride home.
That's the last time i get my weather off the BCF. Very Happy

Well, the week has got off to a great start so far.

The only downside today was attempting to go down one of my favourite roads, only to find it's being worked on with loose chippings and tar and a 20 Mph limit.

You think, "should be gone when I get round the corner"

No.

Four miles of the shit and then a lovely 15-20 mins of picking sticky stones off your tyres and then riding slightly less spiritedly for a while.

/rant

Here's hoping the rest of the week will be the same.

I`m hoping to have a spin out on Wednesday evening to Great Bently so with a bit of luck some decent weather will have kicked in by then.

Update in the space of 24 hours we have gone from central heating and wearing thermal hats when outside to shorts and t-shirts.

Yesterday I made my first evening ride out of the year, managed about 150 miles.
