Hi all!
As some of you know, im doing a go kart project using a motorbike engine. I payed 115 euros for a not-working ke125 2-stroke engine, from a wreckers. The engine was really dirty, the frame was rusted, everything was quite filthy, really. i've managed to get it going nicely.
Well, when im older and more experienced, i want to fix something like a 600-750cc 4-stroke motorbike engine (2 cylinder or 4 cylinder). If i were to go to a wreckers and purchase a kinda distant from working, yet similar condition to the ke125 engine (but 600-750cc) , how much would you pay? because i'd hate to get ripped off... And i know someones probably going to say "well, someone who wants to replace critical engine parts with a safety pin doesnt deserve to get an engine like that", so no safety pin circlip references!
Cheers |

150 euros converts to about 194 aud. yeah, i thought it wasnt going to be cheap... and something thast is a bit more worn is what i would be looking for. i dont know anything about the cbr600, but after google imaging it, its a pretty sexy bike. |

Of course if you are brave enough you end up with something along these lines.

I like your brittish teenager example there
I doubt i would ever own a bike. My dad owned a kawasaki 750GPZ in which he had a life changing crash. ended up in a comba for a month, broke heaps of major bones. 5 knee reconstructions. brain damage. hes lucky he is alive, really, which also means im lucky to be alive
Yeah, anyway, because of this he has had many in-depth conversations with me about never owning a motorbike. the thought of that for me is difficult, i wouldnt mind owning a motorbike, just looks like so much fun, and it seems like a source of transportation, but a hobbie at the same time..
Anyway in relation to a CBR600 go kart, perhaps you would like to look at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIbLj4FWiLA |
