Stolen - Triumph Street Triple R

Taken at about 12:30 (lunchtime) from St James's Square, Central London.

Matt Graphite Triumph Street Triple R. LX09 BZR.

Was parked in a motorcycle bay. Two fellas on another bike apparently turned up, one jumped off, hammered my disk lock off, broke the steering lock and then drove off on my bike.

Last seen in Fulham.

I'm pissed off to say the least.

Wonder how they got it started so quickly! Always thought modern bikes were fairly immune to screwdriver in the ignition type start ups.

Best of luck getting it back anyway, so many cameras around that it must have been seen.

You have eyes in South Essex If its being exported, the chances are it'll go to Tilbury docks to get on a boat there. I'll keep an eye out this way for you mate. Do you have a picture and a registration number at all? Any features?

given some of the higher profile buildings around that square you might get lucky in that it was caught on CCTV

however given the trees in the square i wouldnt have parked it there, i might have parked closer to the

royal automobile association thats across the road tho (oh the irony)

with limited access in and out, 5 roads, one of the local buildings will have got it on CCTV. and im pretty sure theres civil servant cctv in that area as well

The whole of London is on CCTV, it's just finding the people that run the cameras and then hoping they're helpful enough and the footage is good enough to be useable. That's where it becomes tricky.

Security in the museum go as far as claiming that it's illegal for them to hand out footage without a warrant. At least anything filmed inside on the cameras inside the museum, no idea about their external cameras.

Reg was LX09 BZR.

Police came to see me half an hour after I reported it stolen. The bike was involved in a criminal incident in Fulham some minutes before I actually reported it stolen.
