Hi guys,

just joined the forum today so thought i'd say hello!

Well nothing like throwing myself in the deepend. Bought a new bike which is arriving Tuesday (Derbi Terra 125) and CBT booked for Friday.

Did my CBT first off around 6yrs ago, but never did anything thing with it. Decided nows the time to do what ive alwys wanted to do (what with now been a little older)

Fingers crossed all goes well on Friday, few months of L plates and then do the full test, (well thats what i hope) Rolling Eyes

Now, now Roger. That's making a few assumptions insn't it?

It might be a new bike to him, but not brand new. How do you know he doesn't intend keeping it after his test?

What side of the bed did you get out of this morning? Very Happy

Are you familiar with the meaning of this symbol? Question

Eh, used bikes have to come from somewhere, I suppose.

I made mistake of buying almost new 125 bike and now when it comes to selling I'm loosing around 25% off it.
I should know better, that I would not stop there, on 125.

125 are still fun, but very often they lack of power - great as learning tool, as you learn to be patient Smile

Agreed.

Go for a 2nd hand 125 that you won't be worried about dropping. Spend your money on passing then on a bigger bike ..

That's what I got told numerous times throughout

problem is, if every new learner brought a second hand 125 there would be less "newer" second hand 125's to be had. (a smart learner would buy a pretty decent second hand one but most still want the newest bike in age they can afford)

the seller of my bike had his 125 for about 15 months. he brought it from new.

only cost me £200

point is, SOME people buying new 125's is actually a good thing in the greater scheme of things.

Eh, I bought an HN125-8 brand new, and swapped it for a 4500 mile GPZ500, so I have no complaints.
