The front brakes are a liability. One disc is warped and does cause shizzle with high-speed braking, so I've got two new EBC Pro-Lights en-route, sintered pads and I've swapped the Brembo M/C back to the OEM, so I can see the instruments properly and use the OEM mirrors.

Other than that the bike is a corker. After thinking something was wrong with the motor it's now pulling like a train after I caned the snot out of its gizzards and the thing goes around corners pretty bloody well too. It actually feels like more fun than my last Blade, probably because it's a hundred times more comfortable yet still offers sports-like performance. And after some brief window-reflection inspectorage I appear to look less like a gonk than I did on the Blade. I'll have to get some photos with me on it to be sure of that though. Laughing

Good luck with that Laughing They're pretty useless at anything over 60mph.

Glad you like it though, also glad that someone actually went out and bought one instead of just gushing all over one when it's posted on here!

The front end is in bits at the moment. I've stripped one caliper and found a rubber port-seal missing and a dust-seal from one of the pistons also missing, bodged by having red rubber grease packed into its slot. Rolling Eyes New rubbers have been ordered.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

It is when it's used to replace a missing dust seal. Rolling Eyes

No, it isn't. It's a common replacement for dust seals on race bikes, speak to a paddock of club racers.

For a road bike I would be less inclined to use red rubber grease but I always overhaul my brakes regularly.

I believe that's what's known in the trade as an 'Italian Tune-Up'.

Thumbs Up

Yes it is. This is a fucking road-bike, not some club-racer's "look how smart I am" track toy.

Chris-red, it's a 19x18 ratio (that means nothing to me but it's all I know about it). Apparently the chap who put it on got it from a mate who worked for the Foggy Petronas team.
