Rim tape is a divisive add-on I'm gathering from using the 'search' function to gauge peoples opinions - and I'm sorta on the fence but decided in the end to try it on my bike since Suzuki have this 'inside the rim' option...

At the moment I'm leaning towards keeping it on.

Thoughts?

Thoughts are that on the inner wheel like that it will get covered in brake dust and come off when you try to wash it.

I was concerned about that but it seems pretty resilient - I've already rubbed the rim with cleaning stuff to see how the tape holds up and it is fine. I clean those white wheels after every ride though so nothing builds up - that helps.

I'm not a fan of any strips, stickers and other Halfords merchandise look alike shit.

I agree that yellow rim strips look horrendous. Chavs love them.

Sorry but any mention of "inside" and "rim" brings this to mind.

I like rim tape. I like yours too. I dont know why but i think that inside the rim one would look better on just one side of the wheel.
Im also growing fond of the L1 shape. want.

£15 per wheel on the bay, that sound about right?

these would look sweet on black rims, subtle.

Yes, that's what I paid on eBay from CJBHParts (Suzuki Dealer) and they were rapid in getting them out to me.

Doesn't look too bad. Depends on the bike I guess.

I didn't like any on my GSXR but I have some on my Hornet and I like it.
