If not I'm definitely selling mine!

It's a 98 so should be good for £10k, I'd say! Thinking

Looks like a good way of one person laundering money whilst another receives 7k without paying tax on it.....

Also what's that piping on the underside rim of the tank about? I rather like the look, does it serve a purpose?

Was on there when I bought the bike.

Only purpose it could serve in my mind is to collect water and rust the tank a bit sooner.

It looks nice though.

Did you miss the part where I said 'It looks nice though'?

Why else do you think someone would bid £7K on a 96 Bandit?

Just received an email via eBay from the 'winning' 0 feedback buyer after informing him that the bike has unfortunately already been sold (I stated in the ad bike was listed elsewhere).

'I shall be leaving negative feedback'

Shocked

Do you have to pay the fee on a non paid item like that? Although I guess the way you've handled it, that may not count as unpaid? But surely it doesn't count as sold either way.

Not really, I'll just dispute why anyone would bid £7K+ for a bike that normally sells for £800-1000 with 0 feedback.

FVF will only be £40 anyway.

Thanks, Thumbs Up.

I take it I just say he never turned up with £7K in readies (I listed cash on collection) and leave it at that?

I've been reg'd on eBay since '04 and I dont fancy a negative just because of some bellend.

A classified ad costs, what, £15 fixed price. I can't see the attraction of an auction that seems as likely as not to be won by some drunken fantasist, scamming Elbonian or genuine mental.

If I were any of the above, I might put in a low bid, have two of my sock puppet accounts bid it to mental money, then message you with "I'll maybe still give you £500 if you don't want to relist it". Thinking

You have to wait 4 days until you can open a non paid item case, then you have to wait 4 days until you can close it. No way the guy is going to pay up so you can relist the bike if you wish in the meantime.

Once the case has been closed if he leaves a negative then you can get Ebay to remove it as there will be a record of non payment by him.

Also add the cunt to your blocked bidder list, which can be found here:

I'm a little confused how it got so high...it can't be one guy alone, someone else would have had to have put in a ridiculously high bid too Confused

Why do these mongs do this? He was not a lone bidder there must have been another chimp bidding against him.

What I don't get is why the people don't take things off ebay when they sell.

Weird bidding pattern. Drunk put in £7000 instead of £700, mental put in £5000, drunk invented a sock puppet rather than doing a bid retraction?

Either way, a massive waste of time. Sad
