Loads

Where from in London? It's a big place Wink

Best route down would depend on where you're starting from TBH

Not in your neck of the woods but IIRC there's an annual London to Brighton (push)bike ride. Couldn't you go on the route that it uses? However, just thought that might use non-road sections.

Did a google and found the cycle route here if it's any use.

Thumbs Up

In case you didn't know, on google maps when searching for directions you can tick the box that says 'avoid highways' and that'll give you a route without motorways in it Thumbs Up

Out on the A13, down over the Dartford Bridge, come off first exit to avoid M25, head through the nice bits towards Otford, then on towards Sevenoaks, down to Ide Hill, round the Bough reservoir towards Edenbridge, then down any of the number of good roads round there to Lewes, down and along the coast Wink

If you're heading to Southend avoid the A127 - It's mind numbingly boring.

Doesn't always work, though. Google always used to try taking me on the A1(M) when I was on CBT.

Old A13 is shit too, though. Getting into S/end is always crap
