Hey,

Recently changed the fork oil and seals on my 1997 CG125, and after putting everything together, noticed that the feel of the ride was a little off.

When pressing down on the front forks, I can see that the front wheel moves ever so slightly to the left (it pivots left around the axle, as opposed to just parallel sideways).

I also span the wheel and it seems to bulge one side, and then contract again.

I've checked wheel bearing, spokes etc. and none of these symptoms were happening before the fork oil and seals were changed.

Any ideas what might be the problem? Thanks.

Missing a spacer from the axle.
Tyre is gubbed and has a soft/damaged sidewall.

All these things seem fine on it =/

As far as I am aware, all the spacers are there, I refered to manual for a diagram, and looks fine.

I have had the front wheel off a CG. If it was missing a spacer it would be massively obvious. The spacer is quite a size.

When you replaced the spigot back in is it possible you damaged a bearing when doing so.?

Also disturbing a bearing that's on its last legs can be the final straw in their demise.

Ah, might be a damaged bearing then. They aren't expensive, so I guess it's worth the replacement?

Thanks Nick Smile

Nope, they aint.

For a CG they will be less than a bag of fish & chips. Smile
