There are so many of them I'll just post a few links, there are literally hundreds so I'm sure everyone must have seen one or two. What are your favorites?

This one (skip most of it, it's a half-hour long and you only need to watch about 3 minutes) isn't dramatic but it shows how the police in the USA are allowed to cheat and lie to trick people into incriminating themselves: Pastor stopped for blown bulb, refuses to leave car https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYjI138u1z0&feature=g-vrec

Lemonade stand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F90u1Fa7mzM&feature=related

Arrested for writing on desk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev6A7pd5Ni4

Teenage girl beaten for kicking off shoe at officer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VHP6wAceqI

And for balance (to show it's not just the USA) a woman is arrested for threatening a police officer by blowing bubbles at the G20 summit in Canada: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8LyMwBzpkI&feature=related

The big issue in the uk is you never usually get to see the videos of them in the UK, as most complaints are dealt with internally.

The bubbles one is technically correct, and she was told not to do it. She deserved to get arrested for assault. If someone blew bubbles in my face and didnt stop they'd get a slap Rolling Eyes

As for UK police corruption, my brother had his arse handed to him in a police cell and ended up in hospital for it. He had couple sets of boot mark bruises on his lower back, 2 cuts from where the cuffs were put on to tight - when he was taken to hospital - He was kicked in the head as well.

That was because he walked away from a community support officer who kicked him in the back as he walked away. He was then arrested and when he complained at the police station they decided to strip he naked and give him a beating. Thumbs Down

I still trust most cop's in the uk tho, just a small bunch joined so they could legally beat the seven bells of shit out of you.

I work in Police custody and I have seen far worse, but you have to understand that there is zero tolerance and force is used, the fact that she is a women is the biggest part of the story by the Sun.

I very nearly had to make a new thread for this, just came across it:

Fuck if he had spoken to me like that I'd have been tempted to redline it in first on my gixxer 1000 and wheelie on his face!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ui18jZlYNU4&feature=g-vrec

* I don't have a gixxer nor can I wheelie.

It's awful, really good how the biker stands up for himself!

Thumbs Up

She did stop but she was arrested anyway. But what bothers me more is that the police in the video were putting on a show of force by getting up-close and in the faces of the protestors when given the peaceful nature of the protest a piece of ribbon strung across the street would have been sufficient warning.

I agree with a lot of it, and I know you guys must have a shit time. I know cop who is suspended for gently slapping a drug addict in the face when he was pretending to be unconscious - wasn't even a hard slap, just a tap.

I once had a cop elbow me in the face (hurt like hell) and arrest me on a evening out - It was a case of mistaken identity (someone else in a leather bike jacket) I hadn't even had a drink as I was on the bike... Once they realised it wasn't me they were very apologetic. Laughing There are loads of nice cops, I could see why they decided to take me down hard - They thought I had a knife.

I have no objection to the use of force, but acts such as punching/ kicking people in the head, cannot be justified. Thumbs Down

force should ONLY be applied when all other options are exhausted.

in the example above the officer elbowed him in the face without exploring all other options.

1) (from a slight distance) "Excuse me sir i need you to turn around and place your hands on your head"

2) "Excuse me, are you carrying a knife?" (unlikely a truethful answer if he was the correct person but still an option)

3) "place your hands on your head and lay on the ground"

4) "sir please tell me your name" (if they had a suspect name)

theres other options, going straight to force WAS NOT acceptable and i would have had his badge for it.

too many cops thing they're above the law when they're meant to enforce it, not brutalize people over something as simple as mistaken identity!

I wouldn't say their actions were that aggressive, wasn't exactly aggressive, I just got clipped when they 'grabbed' me and took me to the ground. lol.

Once I realised I was being arrested I didn't resist and was on my feet in a couple of seconds with some cuffs on being asked questions by 3 officers who wanted to know who I was. I was searched then made to look at a street camera, un-cuffed a couple minutes later, gave my name address, got an apology, carried on with my night with a slightly sore nose irrc.

Lucky my helmet wasn't dropped or shirt ripped.. Otherwise I'd have been pursuing a new helmet and shirt from them. Laughing

Take the recent Riot's & Looting ->

1. I'd want to protect my property even it means using some "reasonable force" Laughing to stop them..
2. Showing so much disrespect towards the laws of this country deserves a bit of harsh treatment.
3. What is the point of trying to fight someone arresting you? If you're innocent you haven't got anything to worry about... Resisting will actually make things worse.
4. If you know you're guilty and start fighting the officer, why shouldn't the officer use force, clearly you would be...

Thumbs Up
