Full service history from new.
R+Gs
stupid chrome 'S' chain guard
solo seat cowl (plus seat)
Rearsets (plus originals)
Meta alarm (with ins paperwork!)
Datatag (again with paperwork!)
Viper exhaust (not fitted atm)
Rear rack for top box/luggage
Not a bad little bike. Still a bit gay though. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |

Is it that end can? Looks a bit gay. Do yourself a favour and get any aftermarket one, and absolutely gut it. Just remove any trace of baffles. That's what I did with my gs. Ugh the roar of a twin! I'm only ever happy when I pass an old persons home and get a fatality. The noise that thing creates at 6-7krpm.
Do it. |

How is it gay...
HOW?
I'll let him explain |
Hah, I bought it with the intention of using it as a runaround/little track thing.
But it's in such good nick now I've had a proper look at it not sure. It's not my cup of tea to use as a 'fun' bike, but we shall see. Colour doesn't match my blue A* one piece.
It's gay because it's a vtwin 'sports' and it's yellow. But it rides nice enough. Could well be up for sale soon as it's possibly too good for my hooligan antics and not giving a fuck. Doesn't appear to have even been dropped. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |

Not liking the V2 malarky tbh. It's a bit predictable and boring for me.
It does feel relatively small, not got cramps at all though, did 120 miles and 2 sessions at lydden hill today. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |

That'll be the 65 horsepower.
Try a Buell 1125 and if you survive I think your opinion on the 'V2 malarkey' may change.
Nice bike by the way, I had a black one when I was 17. I wrote it off into the side of a peugeot at 60. I suggest you don't do the same, it's not really a recommended mod. |
Old flatmate had a Mille regularly used to ride. Only 10bhp less than the Buell. Just don't like the power delivery. And surviving isn't really an issue tbh, had a bigger, heavier, more powerful bike before. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |

How dyu do 2 sessions? How much did it cost, tempted to whack the bandit round there...grip should be no issue |
Turn up midday/afternoon. People drop out after a few sessions due to tiredness/bike problems etc.
Go to the only building, ask about spaces. pay 15-25 quid depending on who it is/what mood/how busy it is. Get 20 minute session. ____________________ Previous: GSF600, FZR600 x2, ZXR750, XT600 Tenere, CB125, CZ125, ETZ 250, ER5, CCM R30, DRZ400, RF600x4, RF900x2, GS500, VTR1000F, 640 SMC, CB250 NIGHTHAWK, GT550x3, GPX750 TE610, CB500, X11x2, SV650, ZING 125, TL1000R,CB250 Superdream, CBR1100XX |

Ignoring the fact the Buell is a good 40 kg lighter than the Mille/Sp1, of course, and as such has an infinitely better power to weight than most v2s. Actual rear wheel horsepower puts the Buell around 15-20hp stronger at the back wheel on the dyno, apart from the 04-05 Mille, where the deficit is only around 10hp. It also has a 103mm bore and a 67mm stroke so feels far more aggressive and alive, revs like no ones business. Power wheelies in 1st - 2nd - 3rd. Brutal bike, you should try one before you die. But I digress... ____________________ Bikes: too many, too much for one man to maintain anyway. |
