Picked up a new lid yesterday, KBC XP-3 Drago. Visor type KBC001
https://i48.tinypic.com/99mhvn.jpg

Trying to find a silver mirrored tinted visor for it but the only place i can find selling one is https://www.thevisorshop.com/acatalog/Product_Catalogue_KBC_Visors_358.html

£48 quid....

My old Dr. Bike lid (£35) which is awesome and comfy and has that comforting smell has to be replaced. Shame they dont make them anymore as the mirrored tints were £15 delivered.

Anyone know of anywhere that sells mirrored tints for the KBC XP-3 Drago for less than half a ton?

Ta very much.

Dont hold me to this but some HJC visors * may* fit, the ex had KBC and HJC lids and the visors were interchangeable, it looks the same shape visor as yours.

Edit, like this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HJC-Helmet-SHIELD-Visor-HJ09-Silver-Tinted-Kawasaki-ZX-ZXSP-Joe-RKT101-RKT201-/140754108861?pt=Apparel_Merchandise&hash=item20c59941bd

My HJC CS20 (i think) was £50 and the visor was £35 online for a dark tint.

It is silly.

I picked one up for my HJC at Oulton, but put it down again when they told me they wanted £35 for it. Found the exact same thing on eBay, direct from the factory in Korea for £15. Delivered.

If I see them robdogs at Cadwell later in the season, they may get a punch squarely to the face...

I bought an AGV Stealth (SV) - Only I didn't know it was SV (as it didn't say it ANYWHERE on the helmet.) Anyway, bought a silver-tinted replacement visor, only to find that it doesn't fit. Gutted. £35ish too.

To send it back (RaceVisors) you would have return postage, a re-stocking fee of 5% (minimum) plus £2.95 for them having to post it in the first place. To be honest, I'd rather by a pre-2010 AGV Stealth.

Return under Distance Selling Regulations and they cannot charge a restocking or cancellation fee and can't withhold original postage either, Google it Wink

The reason is not many people make visors for the Arai GP series of motorsport helmets, it's basically just Arai, LLC and Cara Coat IIRC. Arai didn't make the specific colour I wanted so had to go with Cara Coat, but even the Arai brand ones are ~£100 now. See here.

It is stupid, but the helmet was designed with that colour visor in mind, and they do work brilliantly, better than any other I've used. Thumbs Up!

Personally id rather buy a genuine visor and stump up the extra dough.
If the cheap korean/chinese/asian visors are anything like the cheap korean/chinese/asian DB screens, within 2 years it will go brittle and wont stop fuck all from hitting you in the eye.

Over cautious? Maybe. got both my eyes? definately!

I ride 9K plus a year both commuting and round the dales.

So far in 6 years I have never had to buy a new visor. OK I have had a couple of new lids in that time Laughing
But last lid was over 2 years ago. Visor is still as new.

Treat them with care and you don't have to waste money.....

Genuine KBC

Well that sticker will have cost them a couple of pence.... Laughing
