Hi there,

I've snapped the front left hand side foot rest hanger (if you don't know exactly, this bit):

https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/$(KGrHqRHJD!E7BcvhrRMBO7PZReGNg~~60_12.JPG

I've also managed to bend the gear shift...metal rod?? As a result. (The rod attached to gear lever and gearbox).

I own a Suzuki SV650s 1999 (SX) and I cannot for the life of me find the replacement bits. (I've tried ebay and wemoto) I need your help!

In summary:

- SV650s 99 (SX) left hand side front foot rest hanger replacement
- gear shift metal rod thing replacement
- Please help me find the above

If after searching, nothing comes up for you guys neither, I'll take it to the shops (don't fancy snapping it while riding and having no gears all of a sudden)

Thanks in advance Confused

Hey thanks for the advice mate. While I'm not prepared to pay 50 pounds for a this piece, the bike is as good as scrapped without gears.

I'll take your advice and just keep a look out on ebay. After a month, I think I'll just pay up the steep price.

I must ask, how did you break the hanger? I was backing up and hit a brick wall quite gently. Sometimes I wish I had a back mirror. Neutral

Thanks again, I've posted on the sales forum here. Hopefully I'll find something.

Wow, you accident sounds quite severe. I had a similar experience with my GPZ500s (first bike). I didn't see that a section of the road was iced when I was trying to filter. There was a car up ahead of me so I ditched the bike and ended up sliding into the car myself.

I took the GPZ apart but, I figured it was cheaper to buy a new bike. A week after I bought the SV I was practicing wheelies in Jan... didn't see the ice again. I was quite lucky that time though, just a scratch on fairing and snapped my indicator. Easy fix.

Lesson: don't go out in ice.

I'll look up some dealers.
Cheers dude!
