I picked up my Bike from itss first service which basically consists of an oil change a filter change and I'm sure the clutch has a less than smooth feel when going down the gears. I can only explain it as feeling slightly gritty (if that makes sense) when letting the clutch in when selecting lower gears at low speed while slowing down. Could an oil change do this? I may be being over sensitive or maybe i've just had a bad day on the bike and my gear changes have been clumsy, but I'm not sure. What do people think?

Is a Yammy WR125X and I don't think its the clutch now as it does it when I'm free-wheeling (for testing purpose) wether clutch is in or out, wheel bearing perhaps? Odd its suddenly happened after the service.

An over tightened chain perhaps?

It dousent say on the service report that the chain was tightened only that the oil and filter were changed.

On the YBR125 there should be 20-30mm slack, I'd guess the WR125X should be about the same.

Not wishing to overlook the bleeding obvious, did they actually put any oil back in after they drained it. Shocked

They could have done it without actually putting it on the invoice.

When I got my bike serviced, he adjusted the clutch and greased battery terminals etc and it wasn't mentioned on the invoice.

Definatly oil in I checked. There are some slight marks on the adjuster bolts which might suggest the chains been tightend and the chain is in the 20 to 30 mm range. The bike had done 9000 miles, would it be due a tighten at that point?

Well I set the slack on my 9,200 miler YBR to about 25mm a few weeks ago when I changed the cush drive, 600 miles later it was up to 40mm, so answer's yes.
