I have a pair of Sennheiser CX 200's which I've tried while wearing my helmet.
Easily the best in-ear headphones I've ever had and they didn't pull out when I pulled the helmet on.
Not been out riding with them yet though, a bit too early for music on the move for me yet. Laughing

Don't, you need to listen to your engine.

skull candy smoking buds, cost a tenner, sound ace, they are pretty hard wearing and snug enough to have a mild wind noise deadening effect whilst still being able to hear traffic (volume level permitting of course)

cheers
John

I've got some Marley 'Smile' ones.

they have about the same effect of sound-deadening as earplugs (almost), meaning i can have the ipod at about 1/3 volume and still hear it clearly over motorway traffic/noise. can hear cars around me too...

they took a couple of attempts first time to get to fit under a helmet, but i've got the hang of it now so they don't budge Very Happy

I have a few pairs ranging from basic memorex through to beats and then Shure. On the bike the sound quality rarely matters as the overall noise takes over.

My advice is grab some cheapies that are really compact, tour beats as an example stick out loads and catch on the way into the helmet, on cheek padding or other areas.

One thing worth considering is making up some custom earplugs like the R&G ones I recently reviewed, make them as normal but using less of the compound and then bang each earbud into place and hold while it sets, custom moulded tips for them keep out more noise and help with sound quality a bit too.

These are not too bad for a cheap, dont mind losing/breaking pair.

Also I only tend to put headphones in when I am on motorway runs, enjoy your engine noise as much as you can but motorways can get dull without.

beats are shit. not very robust. not very slim. so not really suitable for under helmet use. then of course there is the price and sound quality. Thumbs Down

I find that the sennheiser cx range usually fit pretty well under a helmet. also had some Phillips running earphones that probably fit the best and didn't move when riding. that being said, it was almost impossible to get my helmet on without catching something and knocking them out

Just spent the past few hours researching earbuds that are very good at cancelling wind noise etc.

I found this website: https://www.earfuze.com/

Haven't bought them yet but they seem cheap. It's a US site so not sure if they will deliver to our country.

Video for them here: https://www.earfuze.com/media.html

I'm going to buy a pair now.

EDIT: They do ship to UK

I've got a small pair of bud-phones. Can't remember the model off the top of my head, but I'll have a look when I finish work. They're tiny, noise-cancelling and sound quite good. They cost less than £10 at the time too (a couple of weeks ago.) Unfortunately the wires are crap and the left one has since gone tits up. I will buy another pair of them shortly though.

Skull candy ones, they're fairly indestructable. And cheap.

And mine are orange.

I have Sennheiser CXs (300s I think) and have used them for a couple of years both on and off the bike. They reduce noise a fair bit - to a comfortable level (even at autobahn speeds) although not quite as much as my earplugs. They are more than loud enough (I have to turn the satnav down to be comfortable). They stay in when the helmet is put on and removed and are pretty comfortable over distance.

Something with foam tips. Block sound and are comfortable enough to keep in for a long time.

I have Soundmagic PL-50s, good sound quality, good value, good build quality.

Not sure why you would go to all that trouble IMO:
R&G custom moulded ear plugs £20 or Proguard MYO £14
Awei earbuds £4
or
Memorex C25 £3
or even Samsungs latest OEM phone earbuds £3

make up the goo yourself, you would have to do this with fuze buds anyway,

for some reason the fuze buds retain the silicone flange but surround the earbud casing, you 'could' replicate that or have a little of the bud casing poking out of the plug mould and do away with the silicone flange, removable from the earbud then...

kinda like this:
https://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/earplugstore_2213_8091822

once the mould has hardened you would have to pop the earbud out, drill a hole from the ear canal section through to let the sound out. Proper custom plugs that normally cost a fortune, I'll get some pics of mine up shortly.

Yep no problem. I changed my order slightly. They has specific motor racing ones so went for those instead. Only a dollar more. Works out to around £36.00 in total including air delivery. Thumbs Up

Have heard good things about SoundMagic PL30 earphones (e.g. click here). Haven't got a pair myself so can only go on what others say.

https://www.hifiheadphones.co.uk/images/soundmagic-pl30-black-220x220.jpg

Can I ask why it has to be in ear. Could you not get a pair of in helmet headphones and then a good pair of in-ear for off the bike? Less wear and tear and easier to use.

For example there's these for £10 from play.com...
https://p.playserver1.com/ProductImages/5/6/8/8/7/4/9/1/19478865_180x180_1.jpg

or these from amazon.co.uk for £20 (look similar)...
https://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31CVzaC%2Bp8L._SL500_AA300_.jpg

and if you do a google or search eBay there may be others.

the shure range are very good, top notch sound quality and they use a foam type bud so you roll it flat and stick em in and it expands to fit the inside of ya ear and stay in there unlike alot of the rubber ones that fall out...
